FML If My Nails Ain't Nice

I was seriously about to have a mental breakdown yesterday that I wasn't wearing any nail polish. Thing is, I set high value on having pretty, feminine and well-manicured hands. Hands say so much about a person's character. Anyway, it's something I'm extremely fussy about. My day was basically ruined for me because of my hands looking ugly. 

How Much Can Change In Half A Year

It's scary how much has changed during that time. And now I'm not only talking about my hair color and my make up. This last half year has taught me that you definitely can't predict what the future holds, no matter how many plans you're making.

Weekend!

Weekend again?! It feels as if it was Sunday already yesterday. Jeez, time flew this week. I promised my mom that I would help her bake some Swedish Christmas pastries tomorrow, and then perhaps a friend of mine's coming for a sleepover in the evening.
I've finally got money again, which feels relieving, since I've always been short on it lately (Charlotte, get a job!), so now I'm thinking if I should go into town tomorrow and buy a Christmas present for my parents... but I'm sort of too lazy having to take the 45min ride with the train, so we'll see. I'm spontaneous.

Stockholm Was Nice!

As previously already mentioned, I was in Stockholm only just over the weekend. It was so nice to be back, although I was a little disappointed that there hadn't been any snow yet. I met my cousin, my uncle, my grandparents and my godmother, which was so lovely. My godmother has an apartment right in the center of the city now, and she insists on that I come and visit her more often, which I with pleasure would like to do.
Ah, there's nothing that feels better than coming home to your home country, where people look similar to you and speak your language.

I Want A Stradivari!

It would be so lovely to own a violin that was built by Antonio Stradivari, the best violin maker in the world (he's been dead for over 250 years now though, haha!). Yeah, well, keep on dreaming, Charlotte.

I think I read somewhere that there are only 650 still existing violins built by him today. The one on the picture, The Lady Tennant Stradivarius, costs 2 million dollars!

No, to be honest, I'd rather have a Steinway grand piano than a Stradivari.

Tomorrow It's December

Oh my goodness, only one more month until the year of 2011 is over. It is really about time now that it starts snowing, last time this year we had already loads of snow! So why are the meadows still green?!
Well, at least the Christmas lights are up now on Zurich's main street. I went into town yesterday and saw them, they're quite beautiful.

Worst Day

Wow, haven't had such an awful day for so long. Everything was just... bad.
Please, oh please let it be Friday already! I'm flying up to Stockholm then over the weekend, and can absolutely not wait! I'm so pumped for this.

Is This Me...?

You know those kind of pictures of yourself where you just think, holy crap, that can't be me?! I don't look like that?! It's not necessarily in an either good or bad way, it's just different.

Seriously, I don't look anything like this in real life in my opinion, it's so weird. Or perhaps I do and I just haven't realized (?), but I wouldn't call this a typical Charlotte picture. I'm going to ask my friends tomorrow. Haha, I'm having doubts on my own sanity right now! But this is just so not me!

Weird Day

You know that feeling when everything's as it should be, nothing unusual is happening, it's like every other Wednesday... but still, something just feels... different. I can't really explain it, and it's not like anything has happened either, today just felt different to the other days. Might be because I'm still sick and have an awful cough, or because I'm overly tired. It feels weird to have completed an entire school day, since lately I often went home early because I felt so sick. I've missed a Math test which I'll have to take on Friday after school instead. Lovely.

Anyway, Saturday night turned out to be awesome! I had so much fun, and didn't get home until the early morning hours. So the weekend was definitely a success.

Yesterday, my friend and I went to a classical concert in Zurich which was so nice! I'd gotten the tickets for free from my violin teacher who was playing the second violin in the orchestra. I had never been to that concert hall before, and I'm glad that I went yesterday, despite still being sick.

As we were waiting for the train we went into McDonalds, and I was quite entertained with the iBooth app on my iPhone, as you can tell from the picture, haha!

Today's Going To Be LEGENDARY

I'm going into town this afternoon to buy a new dress for tonight, because the party that I've been planning my entire fall around is happening tonight. I'm so excited, I've been looking forward to this since September. It's going to be supremely awesome, I can't wait!
I guess I'm not going to get a lot of sleep for the next 24 hours, that's for sure.

Yesterday With Christina

I hate this! I had not been sick even once last winter, and now, we don't even have snow yet and I've got fever, shiver attacks, and major body temperature fluctuations. I'm going to school tomorrow in the morning so I can take my chemistry test, and then I'm probably gonna return home to my cozy bed.

Soon It's Weekend Again

It's already Thursday evening, which I find hard to believe since this week has passed so quickly. Today was not a particularly spectacular day, like most school days, but in the evening after my piano lesson I met up with Christina, one of my closest friends, who I'm going to meet on Saturday again. She went with me to the post office where I payed my phone bill, where I had gone dreadfully over credit limits. My parents have decided not to pay my phone bills anymore. 

Well, lesson learnt - always check if you've turned off data roaming when you're abroad.

I love Craig Colton's performance here at the live shows from X Factor. I actually prefer his version of the song much more to the one by Christina Perri. The chorus is so catchy, I've been humming it almost non-stop for the past two days.

Yesterday

So yesterday I didn't have school, so my best friend and I went in to Zurich for the whole day. We did some shopping, had sushi for lunch, continued with shopping, went to Starbucks, and then in the late afternoon back home. We had a really good time and we coincidentally also met another friend who used to go to our school last year and who we nowadays unfortunately hardly see anymore.
I was so confused as I woke up this morning, I thought it was Monday because of the free day we had yesterday, and it wasn't until I checked my agenda and saw that I had my violin lesson today that I realized that it's actually Wednesday. Confused girl!

I bought this bourbon fleur de lis charm from Thomas Sabo yesterday, 

and am very content about it!
